'We don't need Haaland,' insists Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Bayern München don't need Erling Haaland as long as they have Robert Lewandowski, says Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland has been linked with a host of clubs, including Bayern München.

But according to FC Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the German champions don't need the 20-year-old at the moment.

"Haaland is doing well at Dortmund. And to be honest, as long as we have Lewandowski, we don't need him," Rummenigge told Tuttosport.

Bayern have signed a number of players from Dortmund in the past, including Robert Lewandowski, who made the switch from Signal Iduna Park to Allianz Arena in 2014. But Rummenigge insists Haaland will not be moving to Munich as long as he's in charge.

"I can't predict what will happen in the future because I'm only in charge until December 2021," said the Bayern chief.

"We have established a good relationship with Borussia Dortmund and [their CEO] Hans Joachim Watzke over the years, also on the transfer market. But as long as I'm in charge, another transfer like Lewandowski will not happen."
