Report: Mahmoud Dahoud tops Germany's standby list for the Euros

Bild claims Mahmoud Dahoud tops Germany's standby list for Euro 2020.
Mahmoud Dahoud did not make Germany's 26-man squad for the European Championship, which was announced last week.

But the 25-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder apparently still has a chance of earning a call up.

Should one of the outfield players in the squad become injured or infected with COVID-19 before Germany's opener against France, Dahoud will be the first player to receive a call, according to Bild.

Meanwhile, Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is ready to step in if one of the three goalkeepers has to leave the squad, as per the report.
