The transfer of Zeno Van Den Bosch to 1.FC Union Berlin from Royal Antwerp can be considered a done deal.

Pay-TV channel Sky Germany have confirmed that the centre-back's medical has been completed and a contract signed.

The 22-year-old will join Union Berlin in the summer on a free transfer after his contract with the Belgian Pro League club expires.

So far this season the Belgian – who is valued at €8million by Transfermarkt.com – has played 19 games totalling 1,700 minutes.

Van Den Bosch could perhaps be a direct replacement for Danilho Doekhi who is expected to leave Köpenick in summer.

The 27-year-old defender was even linked to fellow Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg earlier this evening, 12 January
