Fulham and Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha is very close to joining Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany.

According to the German media outlet, it's now almost a done deal, with only minor details remaining between Bayern and Fulham.

Palihina came painfully close to joining Bayern last summer, but the move fell through on deadline day.

The 28-year-old recently told a press conference that both Bayern and Fulham know where he wants to be in a month's time.

He has played for Fulham since 2022 and is currently representing Portugal at the European Championship.

Portugal coach Roberto Martinez commented on the speculation after Portugal's win over Slovenia, saying he has no doubt the 28-year-old is capable of playing for Bayern.
