Due to significant injuries to both Ragnar Ache and Thijs Dallinga, 1.FC Köln's attacking options have turned from a luxury to a problem.
The former is suffering from muscular problems while the latter sustained an ACL injury in yesterday's friendly with Viktoria Köln.
Accordingly, the Express is therefore suggesting the Effzeh may be tempted into the quick signing of a free agent replacement.
The newspaper mentions former Real Madrid marksman Joselu who won Euro 2024 during his time with the Spanish national team.
Dawid Kownacki, having just been released by Werder Bremen is another option alongside Ihlas Bebou formerly of TSG Hoffenheim.
The final name on the list is Cedric Teuchert who left Hannover 96 in 2024 and just ran out of contract at MLS side St.Louis City.
However, these are just hypothetical scenarios for now. Whether FC Köln will actually make an emergency transfer remains to be seen.
