Stuttgart announce Keitel signing

VfB Stuttgart have announced the signing of Yannik Keitel from Freiburg.

Yannik Keitel is leaving SC Freiburg to join VfB Stuttgart on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

The move was confirmed by both clubs on Tuesday afternoon. Keitel has put pen to paper on a contract with Stuttgart until 2028.

After completing the move, Keitel said he's “really looking forward to playing for Stuttgart and getting to know the team and the club".

“After talking to the people in charge and the coach, I am convinced that VfB is the right club for me. I will do everything I can to help the team continue its success,” he said.

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth believes Keitel is a great fit for the club.

“Yannik is a very good fit for us with his profile and style of play. Over the past few years, he has gained important experience at national and international level and has matured as a player and personality. At the same time, we see Yannik's potential for further development and are therefore delighted that he will wear our jersey in the future.”
