Terzic targets small home win over PSG: "That's the mission"

Borussia Dortmund are approaching Wednesday's Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain with the target of getting a small win, says Edin Terzic.

Edin Terzic says Borussia Dortmund are approaching Wednesday's Champions League semifinal first leg against Paris Saint-Germain with the goal of getting a small win to put themselves in a good position for the return leg in France.

"We want to use our home advantage to take a small lead to go to Paris with. That's the mission. We know that we have to play at the highest level for at least 180 minutes," Terzic said at his pre-match press conference.

As for his team's chances of prevailing, Terzic said:

"I think the situation is pretty clear if you want to have a favorite and an underdog in the semifinals. They've wanted to win the Champions League for ten years.

“We have to do everything to win. We believe in our chances. We may be the team with the least experience, but we're the team with the most hunger. We have to work hard every day to get to Wembley.”

Dortmund faced PSG twice in the group stage, losing 2-0 away and drawing 1-1 at home.

“We weren't happy with the first game. We only had two good chances to score, which was far too few. The second game was a different story. We came close to winning the game. We know that PSG are in top form at the moment and that we need to improve on our performance in the second leg. But we're confident we can do that.”
