Bayern Munich appear to have reason to be increasingly optimistic about extending Alphonso Davies' contract.

According to both Sky Germany and Bild, the Bavarians are prepared to improve their offer of €13 million per year in the hope of persuading the left-back to sign a new long-term deal.

Bayern are understood to have recently reopened contract talks with Davies' agent in Munich, with new coach Vincent Kompany keen to keep hold of the Canada international.

The 23-year-old left-back has long been linked with Real Madrid, but those rumors appear to have cooled in recent months.

Davies' current contract with Bayern expires in the summer of 2025. He made 42 appearances in the 2023/24 season, scoring three goals and providing six assists.

He has been playing for Bayern Munich since January 2019, when he was signed by the German giants from the Vancouver Whitecaps for a reported fee of €14 million.
