The highly anticipated duel between Xabi Alonso' Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Paulo Fonseca's AC Milan is set to kick off in just over an hour.

Leverkusen trainer Alonso seeks to make a statement after what was widely regarded to be a rather tepid performance against German record champions FC Bayern München on Saturday night.

As such, the Werkself gaffer has made two changes to the XI that lined up against Bayern. The more offensive-minded Aleix Garcia replaces defensive midfield pillar Robert Andrich.

Additionally, Amine Adli has been called upon to take over for the ineffective Michael Terrier in attack. Leverkusen will likely line up in their foundational 3-4-3 formation.

Confirmed Lineups:

Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs. AC Milan

AC Milan (4-2-3-1):

Maignan - Theo, Gabbia, Tomoti, Emerson Royal - Reijnders, Fofana - Rafael Leao, Loftus Cheek, Pulisic - Abraham

Leverkusen (3-4-3):

Hradecky - Hincapie, Tah, Tapsoba - Grimaldo, Aleix García, Xhaka, Frimpong - Wirtz, Bonficace, Adli
