With reports linking him to some of Europe’s top clubs, it has been suggested that Nathaniel Brown could become the most expensive full-back in history, surpassing the €65.3 million record set by Marc Cucurella when he joined Chelsea FC from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022.

Brown himself, however, insists he is not currently thinking about a potential transfer at the end of the season.

“Honestly, I don’t think about numbers like that or a potential move in the summer at all,” Brown told Sport Bild, adding:

“My focus is fully on Eintracht and on the goal of qualifying for Europe. And then I would very much like to be at the World Cup.

“After that, I’ll see what happens in the summer. In football, you can’t really plan things, so I don’t dwell on it.”

Asked whether he is aware of interest from clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC and Manchester City, Brown responded:

“Yes, I’ve noticed it, but it doesn’t affect me. I focus on the goals that are in my own hands. Everything else doesn’t interest me right now.”

Brown joined Eintracht Frankfurt from 1. FC Nürnberg for just €3 million in January 2024. His contract runs until 2030.
