Rose confirms Brandt will be out for weeks

Julian Brandt will be out for a few weeks due to the muscle injury he picked up against Besiktas.
Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose has provided a squad update ahead of Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin.

At the pre-match press conference, Rose explained that Thorgan Hazard could potentially make his return to the squad after a spell on the sidelines.

Mats Hummels should be fit to play, too, but Julian Brandt will be unavailable for the next few weeks after sustaining a muscle injury in Wednesday's 2-1 Champions League win over Besiktas.

"We will have to see if Thorgan Hazard is ready for Sunday. I assume Mats Hummels will be good to go. Julian Brandt will be absent for a period of time, he has a muscle injury that could keep him out for 2 weeks," Rose told reporters.

Dortmund sit third in the Bundesliga with nine points after the first four games of the season.
