Marco Rose 'focusing on essentials' ahead of return to Gladbach

BVB coach Marco Rose knows he is unlikely to receive a warm welcome when he returns to Borussia-Park this Saturday, but is trying to stay focused on the game.
Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose has no concerns over the reception he will get at Borussia-Park when he visits his former club Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

"I'm focusing on the essentials, and that's the game. I try to shut out all the stories around the game," said the Dortmund coach at the pre-match press conference.

"At the same time, I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of people, who might also be looking forward to seeing me. Gladbach is a team with high quality that can beat anyone in the Bundesliga.

"They will do everything they can to win this special game against a strong opponent from Dortmund."

In terms of personnel, Rose revealed that Nico Schulz could be an option again following a spell on the sidelines.

Thorgan Hazard, who made his return last week, is making good progress, but isn't ready to play 90 minutes yet.

Meanwhile, the game comes too soon for the likes of Emre Can, Julian Brandt, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Giovanni Reyna.
