Revealed: Niklas Süle wanted to leave Bayern for a move to England

Der Spiegel has obtained a series of messages between Niklas Süle and his former agent, proving that the 26-year-old has wanted to leave Bayern München for a while.
Niklas Süle has expressed interest in leaving Bayern München several times in the past, according to report from Der Spiegel.

The German newspaper has obtained files that have become public through a court dispute between Süle's former representatives Karlheinz Förster and Murat Lokurlu.

Back in November 2018, Süle allegedly texted Lokurlu:

"Check the offers from England if anyone wants me there. If someone from the big clubs would take me, let me know. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, but preferably Man U."

About a year later – in October 2019 – Süle asked Lokurlu if he knew "anyone from Tottenham".

"I want to go to Tottenham, such an awesome club," he stated.

"I actually want to go to England after the Euros in the summer, I don't want to be here anymore. I really want to go to England."

However, Süle had to abandon his plans after sustaining a long-term injury shortly after.

The 26-year-old's current deal expires next summer, and his contract talks with Bayern are said to be on hold at the moment.
