Agent speaks out on Florian Wirtz's plans for the future

Florian Wirtz wants to stay at Bayer Leverkusen for at least two more years, according to his father and agent.
Florian Wirtz's father and agent, Hans-Joachim Wirtz, has offered an update on the highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen midfielder's future.

Wirtz, 18, has caught the eye of Europe's best clubs with his impressive performances for 'Die Werkself', scoring 14 goals and making 12 assists in 53 games so far.

But with his contract still running until 2026, the attacking midfielder has no plans of leaving Leverkusen anytime soon.

"Florian definitely wants to play a good role in Leverkusen for the next two years," Hans-Joachim Wirtz told Bild.

"What comes after that, we do not know yet. But his focus right now is only on Bayer and the national team."

Wirtz has found the net five times and provided four assists in six games this season.
