Report: Gladbach to open talks with Hofmann over new deal
Bild reports Gladbach are set to open talks over a new deal for Jonas Hofmann.
Borussia Mönchengladbach want to open discussions with Jonas Hofmann over a new deal next month, according to Bild.
Per the German tabloid, 'Die Fohlen' want to talk to the players, who are out of contract in 2023, and Hofmann is one of the first candidates.
The 29-year-old is currently sidelined with a knee problem, but he should be back in training at the beginning of January.
Hofmann has been a key player for Gladbach this season, scoring seven goals in 14 Budesliga games.
It's currently unclear exactly when Hofmann will be able to be back on the pitch for the Bundesliga side, who face Bayern in their first game of 2022 on January 7.
