Journalist plays down Raphinha to Bayern links
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay has poured cold water on speculation linking Bayern München with a January swoop for Leeds United's Raphinha.
Brazilian media outlet TNT Sports recently claimed that Bayern München are closing in on the signing of Leeds United winger Raphinha.
However, according to journalist Phil Hay, who covers Leeds United for The Athletic, Bayern haven't contacted the Premier League side about Raphinha's availability.
When asked about the rumor on Twitter, Hay replied:
"It's one of those stories which everyone seems non-plussed about. Leeds have had no contact from Bayern."
German tabloid Bild previously reported that Bayern aren't planning to sign any players in January and that Raphinha is unlikely to come unless the Bavarians sell one of their current wingers.
