Eberl challenges Ginter to play at his top level

Matthias Ginter "has to perform really well" to make himself attractive for other clubs, says Gladbach boss Max Eberl.
Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl has challenged Matthias Ginter to deliver his best performances.

After confirming his desire to leave Gladbach when he's out of contract in the summer, Ginter needs to play at his top level to make himself attractive for other clubs as well as Germany coach Hansi Flick, according to Eberl.

"He now has to perform really well in order to find a new club," Eberl said in an interview with Bild.

"He wants to be at the World Cup in Qatar next winter, so he knows he has to go full throttle."

27-year-old Ginter has made 17 appearances for Gladbach this season.
