FC Copenhagen confirm negotiations with Wolfsburg for striker Jonas Wind
FC Copenhagen is currently confirming a report that they've received an offer from VfL Wolfsburg for Danish national team striker Jonas Wind.
The club's official twitter feed says that negotiations are "ongoing".
A report originating in the "Ekstrabladet" earlier in the day is now being confirmed by FC Copenhagen. VfL Wolfsburg are apparently attempting to bolster their striking corps (and potentially replace the likely-to-depart Wout Weghorst) with Danish national team striker Jonas Wind.
The club's official twitter feed says that negotiations are "ongoing".
No further details about a potential transfer fee are available at this time. After a prolific 2020/21 season in the Danish Superliga, during which he scored 17 goals across all competitions and broke into Danish national team trainer Kasper Hjulmand's starting XI, Wind's market value has risen to an estimated €7 million.
The 22-year-old center forward has tallied seven times across all competitions for Copenhagen during the current campaign. He's also struck twice for the national team in the current calendar year.
