Sport Bild Report: Alario to remain in Leverkusen

Germany's main sporting tabloid cites its own sources to claim that Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Argentine striker Lucas Alario have decided against a transfer.
If Nico Linner of Germany's Sport Bild is to be believed, the many transfer rumors involving Leverkusen striker Lucas Alario will amount to nothing more than hot air. Linner reports that, despite the fact that Argentine Alario remains concerned about a lack of playing time ahead of the 2022 World Cup, the club have clearly conveyed to the 29-year-old that they would like to keep him through the end of the season.

The report does not contain further details, but it can be reasonably assumed that Germany's red company team were able to provide certain assurances to the player. A potential early transfer of Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun thus seems less likely. Alario can still leave his current club this summer thanks to an €8 million exit clause.
