Bundesliga team of the week – Matchday 9

Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz is among the players in our Bundesliga team of the week after a fine performance against Werder Bremen.
Matchday 9 – team of the week (4-1-3-2):

Goalkeeper: Andreas Luthe, FC Augsburg (2)
Showed his reflexes and made a string of great saves in Augsburg's 2-1 win over Hannover 96.

Right-back: Joshua Kimmich, Bayern München
Kimmich delivered a strong performance in Bayern's 2-1 win over Mainz. The German international was very active on the right side, was unlucky not to score as his shot hit the crossbar and set up Leon Goretzka's opener.

Centre-back: David Abraham, Eintracht Frankfurt
Won an outstanding 92 percent of his duels and hit a teammate with close to 95 percent of his passes in the 1-1 draw with FC Nürnberg.

Centre-back: Willi Orban, RB Leipzig
The RB Leipzig skipper was rock solid, oozed calmness and didn't let Schalke get to many chances as he helped his team to the third clean sheet in a row in all tournaments.

Left-back: Joshua Brenet, Hoffenheim
The full-back was a constant threat going forward in the 4-0 win over Stuttgart in which he scored and set up a goal.

Defensive midfielder: Kerem Demirbay, Hoffenheim
Demirbay was brought on towards the end of the first half when the score was 0-0 and made a huge difference for Hoffenheim. Pulled the strings in a defensive midfield role.

Right midfielder: Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund
The youngster shined with his quick feet and dribbling in the 2-2 draw with Hertha BSC in which he netted twice.

Offensive midfielder: Kai Havertz, Bayer Leverkusen
Just 19 years old, but already so, so important for Bayer Leverkusen. The German wonderkid scored twice in the second half to cement Leverkusen's 6-2 win over Werder Bremen.

Left midfielder: Salomon Kalou, Hertha BSC
Hertha didn't create a lot of chances against Dortmund, but still scored twice thanks to Salomon Kalou's clinical finishing. The former Chelsea player made it 1-1 just before the break and stepped up to convert a penalty in injury time to salvage Hertha a draw.

Striker: Kevin Volland, Bayer Leverkusen (2)
Had a very good game on Sunday evening with a goal and two assists in the 6-2 win over Werder Bremen.
