Jamal Musiala: "I enjoy every position!"

Having demonstrated he's capable of playing anywhere in midfield, Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala says he just enjoys being on the pitch.
Bayern München youngster Jamal Musiala has reflected on his flexibility to play in various positions.

"I just love to be on the pitch, no matter the position," said Musiala in an interview posted on FC Bayern's official website.

"Since I was young, I've played mostly in attack, either as a 'No10' or on the wing where I feel most comfortable. However, I enjoy every position. I just take it all in: it's good for my development."

Since making his breakthrough for Bayern, Musiala has played everywhere in midfield. Most recently, the 19-year-old has been utilized as a No. 6 – not just for Bayern, but also for Germany.

"[Musiala] can play in the No. 6 role very well," Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarterfinal first leg clash with Villarreal, according to UEFA.com.

"He's unbelievably aggressive, wins lots of balls. I thought he did well against Depay and the Netherlands recently. He knows how to use his body. But when I first told him he was playing in that position, three or four weeks before Christmas, he thought it was a joke," added Nagelsmann.
