Report: Bayern inquire about Ajax defender

Sky Germany reports that Bayern have made their interest in Jurrien Timber known.
Bayern München have inquired about Ajax centre-back Jurrien Timber, according to Sky Germany.

Per the German media outlet, Bayern technical director Marco Neppe has made contact with Timber's management to ask about his situation.

The 20-year-old is seen as a possible replacement for Niklas Süle, who will be leaving Bayern for Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

However, the Dutch international is still tied to Ajax until 2024 and would therefore certainly not be a bargain.

Bayern are already being linked with two of Timber's teammates, with both Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch said to be keen on joining the German champions.
