Weigl to Arsenal?

Arsenal are said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl. Meanwhile, Sebastian Rode could join VfB Stuttgart.
Could a move to the Premier League could be on the cards for Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl? According to Sport Bild, Arsenal are showing an interest in the 23-year-old.

Apparently, Arsenal's chief scout, Sven Mislintat, who used to work for Borussia Dortmund, speaks very highly of the central midfielder who has made just six appearances for the BVB this season.

In 2015, Mislintat brought Weigl to Dortmund from 1860 München, and he was thus given a key role by Thomas Tuchel during the current Paris Saint-Germain coach's two-year stint at the club.

Since Lucien Favre took over ahead of this season, Weigl has fallen down the pecking order at Signal Iduna Park. The 23-year-old may want to find a new club in the search for more playing time, but a winter move looks unlikely.

Meanwhile, a winter move doesn't look unlikely for Sebastian Rode. The 28-year-old currently plays for the reserves, and it doesn't seem like he has any future at the club.

According to Bild, Stuttgart are currently showing an interest in the 28-year-old who could join 'Die Schwaben' in January.
