Kahn set for executive role at Bayern

Apparently, it's only a matter of time before Oliver Kahn will take over an executive role at Bayern München.
Bayern München are planning to hire Oliver Kahn in an executive role, Sport Bild reports.

At the moment, though, it's still unclear which exact function the former Bayern keeper will get - and when he will step into his new role.

A triumvirate consisting of Uli Hoeness as president, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as chairman of the supervisory board and Kahn as CEO is conceivable.

The former German international keeper could initially be incorporated as a superior of the current sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic.

In 2017, Hoeness tried to convince Kahn to become the club's sporting director, but he declined the offer. However, the 49-year-old recently wouldn't rule out that he could work for Bayern München.

"Everything at its time," he told ZDF.

Kahn made 632 appearances for Bayern München from 1994 to 2008.
