Müller believes national team should model their play after Real Madrid

After their wild draw against England on Monday night, Thomas Müller discussed how Germany could improve before heading off to Qatar.
After their last major tuneup before the World Cup, Thomas Müller surprisingly shared with the media how he thinks Germany should try and emulate Real Madrid's style of play:

"I've worked under Ancelotti. Real Madrid can be a bit of role model for us. They don’t always play brilliant football but they keep their heads up and have self-belief. That's the way to do it."

With lots of Bayern players in the squad, Müller believes this team chemistry should produce better football: "Since we have many Bayern players, it would be an advantage if we had such a natural self-image, combination security, processes that you can fall back on, which also apply to the club work. It would be cool if we could work that out."

Müller will now turn his attention to Leverkusen on Friday, as Bayern have received good news with Leon Goretzka and Manuel Neuer back in training after their coronavirus infections.
