Official: Hinteregger joins Frankfurt

FC Augsburg defender Martin Hinteregger has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the rest of the season.
Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the signing of FC Augsburg centre-back Martin Hinteregger.

The 26-year-old, who has fallen out of favour at Augsburg recently, joins 'Die Adler' on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

At Frankfurt, Hinteregger will be reunited with Adi Hütter who was his coach at Red Bull Salzburg in the 2014-15 season.

"I really appreciate Adi Hütter and his way of playing football, and I'm looking forward to my new task," Hinteregger told the club's website.

"Of course, I was able to follow Eintracht's matches in the first half of the season, and I saw the huge potential in the team. I would like to contribute to that, so we can confirm the good first half of the season," he added.

Hinteregger was also linked with a move to Fulham.
