Rudy to stay and fight at Schalke 04

Reportedly, Sebastian Rudy has no plans of leaving Schalke 04 in the summer despite facing a lot of criticism after his move to 'The Royal Blues'
Sebastian Rudy hasn't been able to make the desired impact at Schalke 04 after completing a €16 million move from Bayern München last summer.

The 28-year-old has been victim of both internal and external criticism, and it has been speculated that he could leave Schalke this summer.

However, according to Sport Bild, Rudy has no plans of leaving the club. Instead, he wants to stay and fight to prove himself.

It's not the first time Rudy has experienced a setback. For example, the midfielder wasn't called up by Germany coach Joachim Löw for the European Championship in 2016 even though he was a regular part of the squad during the qualifiers for the tournament. But Rudy bounced back and returned to the squad to participate in the World Cup in 2018.

Schalke coach Domenico Tedesco has said that he's fond of Rudy's passing ability and technical quality, but he wants to see more fight, physicality and power from the defensive midfielder.

Rudy has made 18 appearances for Schalke so far.
