RB Leipzig in no rush to extend Yussuf Poulsen's contract

RB Leipzig don't have any plans to offer the in-form Yussuf Poulsen a new contract before the summer, says club boss Ralf Rangnick.
Yussuf Poulsen has drawn attention to himself by scoring 15 goals in 33 appearances for RB Leipzig this season - a goal haul that makes him the club's top scorer.

In spite of the Danish international's fine performances, RB Leipzig have no plans of offering him a new contract before Julian Nagelsmann takes over as head coach in the summer.

"You have to see how Julian Nagelsmann reshuffles the cards during the summer. I'm not a friend of just extending a contract and then seeing what happens. Other clubs have had some sorrowful experiences with that," RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick told Bild.

Poulsen, who has said he's keen on a move to the English Premier League in the future, is under contract until 2021.
