Sport Bild Report: Midtjylland and Union SG interested in Bremen's Woltemade

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that at least two European clubs are interested in picking up SV Werder Bremen striker Nick Woltemade on a free this summer.
As SV Werder Bremen continue to work on a contract extension for Germany U21 striker Nick Woltemade, Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid reports that at least two prominent European clubs are interested in securing the 22-year-old's services when his current working papers expire at the end of the season. Denmark's FC Midtjylland and Belgium's Union St. Gilloise are, according to the tabloid, actively courting him.

Woltemade has made 19 top flight appearances (three starts) thus far this season. A successful loan stint at SV Elversberg last year enabled him to pump up his estimated market worth to €2 million. Though the Bremen native has found some success representing Germany at its highest youth level this year, he still awaits his first Bundesliga goal. Woltemade hasn't even registered an assist at the top level yet either.

The player's loan stint in Saarland saw him score ten goals and record nine assists in the German third division. Woltemade made seven appearances for Bremen during their 2021/22 season spent in the 2. Bundesliga. He was also unable to get his name on the scoresheet on that level. Current Bremen licensing head (and future club sporting director) Clemens Fritz has confirmed that the Hanseaten wish to extend his expiring contract.
