Reese targets Bundesliga return this summer

Hertha BSC forward Fabian Reese has made it clear that he's determined to play in the Bundesliga next season.
It was a real surprise when Hertha BSC announced a new long-term contract until 2028 for coveted striker Fabian Reese about a month ago, although the deal is said to include a release clause that will take effect next year.

However, speaking on 'At Broski - Die Sport Show', Reese left his future open.

"I can't look into a crystal ball, so many things are possible in professional football. That's why I'm careful with promises and look at what I can influence," he said.

"My goal is still the Bundesliga and I want to reach that this season," he added.

Hertha's chances of winning promotion to the Bundesliga this season appear slim, with the capital club sitting in ninth place, seven points behind Hamburger SV in the promotion/relegation playoff spot.

Reese has scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in 27 matches in all competitions this season.

He has played 13 Bundesliga games for Schalke 04 in the past.
