Jacob Bruun Larsen: Ups and downs are part of football

BVB starlet Jacob Bruun Larsen has talked about his and Dortmund's recent slump.
Borussia Dortmund have experienced a bit of downfall in 2019 following their impressive first half of the season.

After winning just one of their last five Bundesliga games, BVB have squandered a six-point lead and are now tied with Bayern München at the top of the table.

20-year-old Jacob Bruun Larsen was a regular starter during a large part of the first half of the season, but has lost his starting berth to Raphael Guerreiro in recent months.

In an interview with BVB tv, Bruun Larsen talks about experiencing ups and downs - both personally and team-wise.

"The beginning was amazing, everything worked out well, and we did great as a team. Then there was a setback. And that's the time when we and the whole club have to show that we're a tight-knit team," Bruun Larsen, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Stuttgart, said.

"There have definitely been ups and downs, but that's football. I experienced that in Stuttgart too, and now it's the same here," he added.

Despite Dortmund's recent slump, Bruun Larsen certainly hasn't given up on winning the championship.

"There's only one aim, and that's winning the championship. That's the only aim for BVB," the Dane underlined.

In their next game, Bruun Larsen and Dortmund face Stuttgart at home on Saturday.
