Goretzka and Löw rue missed chances

Germany need to be more clinical, Leon Goretzka and Joachim Löw said following the 1-1 draw with Serbia.
Germany dominated tonight's friendly against Serbia and created plenty of chances in the second half in particular. But, even so, 'Die Mannschaft' were held to a 1-1 draw in Wolfsburg.

Leon Goretzka was happy score Germany's sole goal, but wasn't entirely satisfied after the game as he felt his team missed too many chances.

"We didn't do enough. We have to get more out of our chances and score. Looking at the stats, we should have won," Goretzka told DPA before looking ahead to Germany's European Championship qualifier against the Netherlands on Sunday:

"We don't need extra motivation against the Netherlands."

Germany coach Joachim Löw was happy with the second-half performance, but also said his players were too wasteful in front of goal.

"It was a pity we went behind so early. You felt that the automatisms didn't really work in the first half. In the second half, the team sent out a very good signal. At the end of the day, our finishing was lacking. But I was satisfied with mentality of the team and the pressure in the second half."
