Berti Vogts: We have to thank God for players like Leroy Sané
Berti Vogts has hailed the qualities of Manchester City's Leroy Sané.
Leroy Sané has been hailed as an 'exceptional player' by former German international Berti Vogts.
The Manchester City star has received a lot of attention for wearing an expensive and flamboyant coat when he turned up for international duty ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Serbia, but Vogts thinks people should focus on Sané's performances instead.
"We have to thank God for players like him with such pace and dribbling ability," the former Germany coach wrote in a column for t-online.de and added:
"I can't understand why there was so much talk about his coat or appearance before the match against Serbia. Just take a look at how well the boy plays football. He's an exceptional player."
Sané, who was excluded from Germany's World Cup squad last year to the surprise of many, has played 18 games for 'Die Mannschaft', netting twice.
