Robert Lewandowski reveals talks over a new contract with Bayern München have begun.
Bayern München star Robert Lewandowski has confirmed he's in negotiations with the club about a possible extension of his contract which runs until 2021.
Sport Bild reported last month that Bayern want to tie Lewandowski down to a new deal, and talks are now underway, the 30-year-old has revealed.
"There have been initial talks, but it will still take a while. At the moment, I'm just thinking about the end of the season. But yes, I can well imagine staying longer," Lewandowski told Kicker.
Lewandowski was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid last summer, but a transfer never materialized.
The Polish international joined Bayern München from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in 2014.
