Julian Brandt has completed a move to Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen.
Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of Julian Brandt who joins the club from Bayer Leverkusen.

The German international has put his signature on a contract with Dortmund that runs until 2024.

"Although Julian Brandt has played in the Bundesliga for a long time and has a lot of experience, both nationally and internationally, he's still a very young player with potential for development at the age of 23. He can be used in several offensive positions and will enrich our game with his creativity," said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc.

Julian Brandt said:

"I'm a person who sometimes makes decisions based on my gut feeling. And in the case of Borussia Dortmund, I have a very good feeling. I want to grow at a personal level, and that's one of the main reasons for my move."

"BVB narrowly missed the title win last season, so there's room for improvement. I have a lot of plans with the boys, and I'm very motivated and optimistic about my personal development and the whole team above all."

According to reports, Borussia Dortmund have triggered a release clause of €25 million to land Brandt who scored 10 goals and made 17 assists in 43 appearances for Leverkusen in the 2018/19 season.

During the last two days, Borussia Dortmund have also announced the signings of Nico Schulz from Hoffenheim and Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
