Official: Luka Jovic leaves Frankfurt to join Real Madrid

Real Madrid have signed Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt subject to a medical.
Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that Luka Jovic will leave the club to join Real Madrid ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Jovic has agreed a six-year deal with the Spanish capital club who have signed the 21-year-old for an undisclosed fee subject to a medical.

"Sportingly, Luka Jovic is a big loss for us. His explosiveness and goal scoring ability has generated interest across Europe," said Eintracht Frankfurt board member Fredi Bobic and added:

"But it was also clear to us that there would be a financial pain threshold. This is a good and important transfer for Eintracht Frankfurt. We wish Luka only the best for his future. He has the best premises for an excellent career, and we are proud that we were able to support him along the way."

Jovic joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a two-year loan deal from Benfica in 2017 before the Bundesliga side triggered a release clause of €7 million to sign him permanently in April.

According to Sky, Real Madrid have paid €60 million to acquire the services of Jovic.

The Serbian striker scored 27 goals in 48 appearances for Frankfurt during the 2018/19 season.
