Germany took another step towards qualification for the European Championship in 2020 by beating Belarus 2-0 in Borisov.
'Die Mannschaft' dominated from the start of the game and went deservedly ahead when Leroy Sané cut inside and curled the ball into the back of the net with 13 minutes on the clock.
Belarus struggled to create chances and keep possession throughout the game, but came close to an equalizer after half an hour when Manuel Neuer had to make a stunning save to keep out a header from Nikita Naumov following a corner.
Germany continued their dominance after the break and missed numerous opportunities before Marco Reus finally added to the lead and made it 2-0 after 62 minutes.
With their win, Germany sit second in Group C with six points after two games - three points behind group leaders Northern Ireland who have played a game more.
