Axel Witsel: 'We have become a bit stronger'

Axel Witsel is pleased with Borussia Dortmund's transfer business so far.
Axel Witsel believes the signings of Thorgan Hazard (Gladbach), Nico Schulz (Hoffenheim) and Julian Brandt (Bayer Leverkusen) have given Borussia Dortmund the foundation to be even better next season.

"We want to be better than last season. We can win the title or the cup. Anything is possible. With Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard and Nico Schulz, we have become a bit stronger. Additionally, we have become more experienced as a team," Witsel told Sport Bild and added:

"These are all good transfers. We need them. And maybe even more players will come."

Witsel already knows Thorgan Hazard well from the Belgian national team, and he's looking forward to playing with the 26-year-old at club level as well.

"I'm glad Thorgan is coming. We have talked a lot about it. He deserves this transfer. We have a young team, and Thorgan can gain experience with us," Witsel said.
