Rummenigge: Boateng's future hasn't been decided yet

Bayern München boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims that no decision has been made on Jerome Boateng's future yet.
When Bayern München announced on Saturday evening that Jerome Boateng was travelling back to Munich early from the club's U.S. tour due to 'personal reasons', it fueled speculation that the 30-year-old could be nearing a move away from the club.

However, according to Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Boateng's departure from the club's training tour has nothing to do with a potential transfer.

"His future hasn't been decided yet. His departure is an exclusively private affair," the Bayern boss told Sport1.

Before returning to Munich, Boateng featured in both Bayern's test matches in the U.S. so far, playing 45 minutes in their 1-2 loss to Arsenal and 90 minutes in their 3-1 win over Real Madrid.

Boateng's contract runs until 2021.
