Stindl hopes to return to training 'in the next few weeks'

Lars Stindl is nearing a return to training after a long injury spell.
Borussia Mönchengladbach Lars Stindl says he hopes to be able to return to training within a few weeks.

The 30-year-old has been sidelined since April due to a tibia fracture, but is making good progress.

"If everything continues like this, I hope to join the team again in the next few weeks. I'll listen to my body and our medical department and find the right time to return," Stindl said in an interview with Amazon, according to SID.

"There's no exact schedule. Basically I'm doing quite well and can do some things with the ball again. Nevertheless, I'm still in individual training," he added.

Stindl scored three goals and made three assists in 22 appearances for Gladbach last season.
