Rafinha reveals Coutinho consulted him about Bayern move

Former Bayern München star Rafinha reveals his Brazilian compatriot Philippe Coutinho consulted him before joining the Bavarians on loan from FC Barcelona.
Rafinha, who left Bayern München to join Flamengo on a free transfer this summer after spending eight seasons in Munich, says he recommended Philippe Coutinho to join his former club from FC Barcelona.

"Coutinho contacted me beforehand and asked me a bit about the club and its surroundings. I told him that Bayern is a great club and that Munich is definitely the most beautiful city in Germany. As a Brazilian, you feel good there. I'm sure he'll integrate quickly and win many titles with Bayern," Rafinha told Sky and added:

"Philippe is a great player, and I think he's exactly the type of player Bayern have been lacking on the pitch so far. I'm sure that they can achieve their goals with him this season. I'm very happy to see another Brazilian player in the Bayern shirt. Philippe is one of the best players in the world, and I wish him all the best at 'my' club."

Bayern have signed Coutinho on a season-long loan deal which includes a purchase option of €120 million.
