Michael Preetz remains calm despite Hertha's poor start to the season

Hertha BSC coach Ante Covic has been backed to turn things around by club boss Michael Preetz after a disappointing start to the 2019/20 campaign.
Hertha BSC have made a disappointing start to the season under new coach Ante Covic and are rock bottom of the Bundesliga, having taken just one point from their first four league games of the season.

The club's sporting director, Michael Preetz, sees no reason to panic at this stage, though.

"We remain calm. Ante gets all the possible help and support from us. We're aware of the meticulous work he and his coaching team put in," Preetz said in an interview with Kicker.

"The team need to reward themselves for the effort they put in by winning points. We're not underestimating the situation, but we have time and enough games to turn the negative dynamic around," he added.

Most recently, Hertha were beaten 1-2 by Mainz at Opel Arena on Saturday.
