Fortuna Düsseldorf have reportedly begun looking into the possibility of extending Zack Steffen's loan deal by another year.
Steffen has impressed since joining Fortuna on loan from Manchester City in the summer, and 'Die Flingeraner' are hoping that it will be possible to keep the 24-year-old for another season.
According to Bild, Fortuna sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel has approached Steffen's agent as well as Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola about extending the loan deal.
Signing Steffen on a permanent deal is currently out of the question for Fortuna who aren't able to match Manchester City's reported asking fee of €25-30 million for the goalkeeper.
