Nagelsmann: 'I'm not assuming that I'll ever become Germany coach'

Julian Nagelsmann claims he isn't intending to take over the position as Germany coach in the future.
RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann says he's not expecting to become coach of the German national team in the future.

"I'm not assuming that I'll ever become Germany coach," Nagelsmann told Sky, according to Fussball.news, and added:

"I like being on the pitch every day.

"There are many German coaches who would be above me on the list to take over the job. Perhaps the position will be occupied for such a long time that I won't even be a coach myself anymore by the time it will be vacant," he said.

Nagelsmann, 32, has previously said that he would like to pursue other career opportunities at some point.

"If possible, the dream is to do something else with my life by the time I turn 40 or 50, something that's away from the football pitch," he told Playboy last year.

The former Hoffenheim coach is under contract with RB Leipzig until 2023.
