Nico Elvedi praises Jordan Beyer: 'He's a man for the future'

Nico Elvedi was impressed with Jordan Beyer's performance against Dortmund.
Nico Elvedi has lauded praise on teammate Jordan Beyer following Borussia Mönchengladbach's 1-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday.

Beyer, 19, was drafted into the line-up to form a three-man defence with Elvedi and Denis Zakaria.

"I thought Jordan Beyer did really well. He's a man for the future," Elvedi told Rheinische Post and added:

"I don't know if we'll play like this in Leverkusen as well, but playing with three at the back is certainly an option in future games. It's good that we can play several formations. That makes us less predictable."

Gladbach lock horns with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga at BayArena on Saturday.
