Hoffenheim don't want to take any risks on Andrej Kramaric following his return from a long-term knee injury in October.
The Croatian international trained individually on Monday and Tuesday and is a doubt for Hoffenheim's clash against FC Köln on Friday.
Kramaric returned to scoring against both Schalke and Hertha, but has watched his team's last two games against Duisburg and Paderborn from the bench due to minor problems with his knee capsule.
The 28-year-old has scored 60 goals in 132 appearances for Hoffenheim.
