Ahead of summer roster upgrades, one of Germany's newly qualified Champions' League sides is apparently interested in recruiting a red-hot Japanese youth international to their 2024/25 project. George Moissidis - the VfB Stuttgart correspondent for Germany's Kicker Magazine - reports that the VfB's scouting department has been taking a close look at Yuito Suzuki of Copenhagen's Brøndby IF.

The 22-year-old has scored ten goals and registered eight assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for his current Danish outfit. A versatile attacker who can play on the wings, behind central, or even up top as a nine, Suzuki also impressed during a brief loan stint with Racing Straßbourg last year. Moissidis writes that Stuttgart have identified Suzuki as a player who fits the team's profile well.

The German footballing journalist nevertheless did wish to emphasize that the Stuttgart and Brøndby may be acres apart on a potential deal. The heavily capped Japanese youth international maintains an estimated market worth of below €1 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Moissidis claims that Brøndby may seek €15 to €20 million for their prospect. A loan deal with a purchase option could still be on the table.
