How Germany could line up against Northern Ireland
Here's how Germany could line up against Northern Ireland.
Germany coach Joachim Löw will be making a few changes for Germany's last Euro 2020 qualifier against Northern Ireland on Tuesday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Löw revealed that he plans to stick with most of the players that were in his line-up for Saturday's 4-0 win over Belarus which secured a spot at Euro 2020.
"I will make a few changes, but the spine of the team will remain," Löw told reporters and added:
"I'm planning to make a change on the left. Nico Schulz has had problems with his knee, and I want to give Jonas Hector the chance again. Marc-André ter Stegen will be in goal as I've already said. I have to think about how I want to line up defensively. We will start with Kimmich, Kroos and Gündogan in midfield once more, I think."
Jonathan Tah is likely to replace Robin Koch in central defence while Leon Goretzka could potentially make way for Julian Brandt.
Here's our predicted line-up:
Marc-André ter Stegen
Lukas Klostermann
Matthias Ginter
Jonathan Tah
Jonas Hector
Joshua Kimmich
Ilkay Gündogan
Toni Kroos
Leon Goretzka/Julian Brandt
Serge Gnabry
Timo Werner
