Confirmed: Laszlo Benes signs new Gladbach deal

Borussia Mönchengladbach have tied Laszlo Benes down to a new deal which runs until 2024.
Laszlo Benes has extended his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach, the club have announced.

The central midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Borussia-Park until 2024.

Benes, 22, has emerged as an important player in midfield this season, making 15 appearances with four assists to his name since Marco Rose took over as coach in the summer.

"'Laci' has played in 15 of 17 competitive fixtures this season, and was in the starting lineup for ten of those matches. He has managed to become a fixed part of the team since returning from his loan spell at Holstein Kiel. He's part of the younger group of players within our squad and we're pleased that he will be staying at Borussia a while longer," said sporting director Max Eberl.
