Marco Reus: Dortmund haven't had a player like Erling Haaland since Lewandowski

Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus believes Erling Haaland will give the team a flexibility that has been missing since Robert Lewandowski left.
Borussia Dortmund haven't had a striker like Erling Haaland since Robert Lewandowski left the club to join Bayern München in 2014, says Marco Reus.

The BVB captain is happy with his the signing of Haaland, who has been brought in from RB Salzburg, and believes the 19-year-old will give the team an extra dimension.

"I don't think we have had a player like that since 'Lewy'. He gives us the opportunity to be more flexible and to react to different situations on the pitch. It gives us a good feeling," Reus said in an interview with Sky and continued:

"Now, he needs to be fit and get to know everybody. We also need to get to know him. We have to adapt to him and make it possible for him to use his strengths, but that will all happen with time."

Haaland scored 28 goals in 22 games for RB Salzburg before making the move to Dortmund.
